HR Generalist - Philadelphia, PA

CampusESP is looking for an HR Generalist to join our growing team and support our expansion. In this role, you will be an integral part of the HR function, providing hands-on support in various HR activities while ensuring compliance and creating a positive workplace environment. This position reports to the VP of Finance and will collaborate with team members across the company.

Your daily adventures will include:

  • Assist in creating job postings and managing recruitment efforts for open positions.

  • Support managers throughout the hiring process, including reference checks and job offer preparation.

  • Work directly with managers to coordinate the new hire onboarding process, ensuring all necessary paperwork, benefits enrollment, and equipment setup are completed.

  • Act as the point of contact for employees regarding HR policies, benefits, and general inquiries.

  • Assist with employee relations issues and help resolve workplace concerns as they arise.

  • Assist in administering employee benefit programs, including enrollment, changes, and employee education about available benefits.

  • Support performance review cycles by assisting with tracking and following up on performance evaluations.

  • Support the implementation of training programs, diversity initiatives, and employee engagement activities.

  • Assist with exit interviews and the offboarding process for employees leaving the company.

  • Provide administrative support for HR-related projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Knowledge of HR practices, especially recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations.

  • Basic understanding of HR compliance and employment law.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • A self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Proficient in Google Suite; familiarity with an HRIS such as Gusto 

  • 3-5 years of experience in HR or a related field, ideally within a startup or growing organization.
