Sales Development Representative (SDR) – Philadelphia, PA

We are looking for a dynamic, energetic entry-level Sales Development Representative (SDR) with a passion for technology and an interest in how it can facilitate positive social change. The SDR is responsible for “knocking on doors” and creating new qualified opportunities for their Account Executive partners. This role manages our outbound campaigns by qualifying active buying interest and identifying critical decision makers to successfully position the CampusESP value proposition.

This role is ideally based in the Philadelphia area but can be remote in the following states: AL, AR, CT, GA, IA, IL, MA, MO, NC, NJ, NY, OH, PA, RI, SC, WV.

Your daily adventures will include:

  • Working with the Marketing and Sales teams to identify net-new opportunities to make CampusESP a “household name” in higher ed.

  • Getting target accounts excited about parent engagement + setting qualified meetings for the AE team.

  • “Owning” your target list and strategy development on a weekly basis to help accomplish the company’s revenue goals.

  • Identifying champions and key stakeholders within target accounts.

  • Discovering new leads through internet research and media monitoring (i.e. LinkedIn).

  • Achieving and exceeding weekly/monthly metrics such as interactions, meetings, and opportunity conversions.

  • Consuming copious amounts of coffee (optional).

Qualifications:

  • You have a strong passion for sales, sales processes, and the startup life.

  • Internal motivation and tenacity are among your strongest traits.

  • You’re highly organized and able to adapt to changing priorities.

  • “No” doesn’t stop you — it only makes you think of other ways to go for the “Yes”.

  • You’re cool with rejection (expect more no’s than yes’s) and can celebrate the wins.

  • You are comfortable in a fast-paced, high energy environment.

  • You’ve got exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

  • You have the ability to think on your feet in a conversation and can answer unexpected questions with ease.

  • You’ve got your teammates’ backs — camaraderie and team spirit is the name of the game around here.

  • You’re comfortable with technology and can learn new programs quickly.
